Little Rock's downtown area is set to get a much-needed upgrade, and the City is making sure residents and stakeholders of Downtown Little Rock are in the know.
Open House: On Oct 11, the City of Little Rock and the Downtown Little Rock Partnership are hosting a Community Open House to gather feedback for the Downtown Little Rock Master Plan.

Latin Jazz Singer Magos Herrera to Perform Live Concert at the AMFA Performing Arts Center
Magos Herrera, one of the top performers in the Latin American jazz scene, will be performing a concert at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts on Oct 12 at 7:30p.
Chart topper: Herrera, a Mexican-born jazz singer-songwriter, is renowned for her captivating voice and remarkable presence in the Latin American jazz scene - seamlessly blending contemporary jazz, Ibero-American melodies, and rhythms with an elegant and bold style.
Awards and accolades: Magos has performed in renowned venues like Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center, and has received various accolades including the Berklee College of Music's Master of Latin Music Award, Omecíhuatl Medal, and spokesperson for UN Women.

LRCC to Expand with New Space in Little Rock
Little Rock Children's Clinic has signed a lease on a new space, located at 27 Corporate Hill Drive, for relocation and expansion.
Big move: The 16,712-square-foot space will accommodate renovations starting late in the first quarter of 2024.
Collaboration: Mark Bentley and Bill Pendergist of Colliers Arkansas represented LRCC in the transaction, while the landlord was represented by Isaac Smith and Justin Bentley of the same realty company.

Get Ready For Arkansas Tiny Desk Contest 2023
The Arkansas Tiny Desk Contest 2023 is set to hit the stage on Oct 13 in Little Rock, showcasing an eclectic mix of the state's homegrown music talent.
Wide range of genres: The lineup includes Concrete Rose from Helena-West Helena, folk duo Common Roots from Fayetteville, and folk-pop group Lead Pipe Conservatory Band from Harrison, representing everything from R&B to folk and pop.
Building community: During musical intermissions, local nonprofits Mosaic Templars Cultural Center and Arkansas Foodbank will join the stage to promote their work in the community.
