Dogtown Throwdown is back

Argenta Plaza

Patio weather is back and with that is the return of Dogtown Throwdown in Argenta. Main Street is closed off for all to walk around, grab a bite to eat from one of the restaurants, and listen to live music.

Central Arkansas Library System

On Wednesday, the Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) received a $500,000 grant from the Mellon Foundation’s Public Knowledge program. This is their largest grant to date.

  • 🎥 What is the memory lab? The Memory Lab provides digital conversion services for old family photos, VHS tapes, and audio recordings.

  • 📖 Ready to upgrade: Because of this generous gift, the Library’s Memory Lab, established in 2022, will receive a major upgrade and be able to hire a full-time staff.

A Story Worth Telling

Daniel Frazier

Daniel Frazier, a resident of Little Rock, recently celebrated a decade of being cancer-free after his diagnosis of Stage IV lymphoma. Now, he's harnessing the power of his story to contribute to finding a cure.

  • 🫶 Purpose in the story: Daniel, who works as the Special Events Coordinator at the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute, shares his story to spread positivity and assist others in finding healing along their journeys.

  • 💓 Be a part of the cure: Join Daniel and his team for the Be A Part of the Cure Walk happening on May 4th at War Memorial Stadium.
