Person of the Week
Caring For Those Often Overlooked
Meet Stephenie A. Cooke, the director of Alzheimer’s Arkansas, who is making strides in supporting families with loved ones living with dementia or other chronic illnesses.
❤️ Passion Ignited: After Stephenie’s grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, she discovered a passion for helping other families in similar situations. This led her to find Alzheimer's Arkansas. In 2011, she began volunteering and after serving on the Board of Directors for several years, she eventually became the Executive Director in 2022.
🤝 Dedicated Support: Alzheimer's Arkansas has been supporting unpaid family caregivers in the state of Arkansas for 40 years, providing free programs, educational workshops, financial assistance, and resources for caregivers of loved ones with dementia or chronic illnesses.
Find out how Stephenie and her team are providing support in Arkansas by visiting alzARK.org.
