Arkansas and Metro Areas Show Economic Resilience in Q3 Compass Report

The Compass Report provides an holistic assessment of the Arkansas economy in the third quarter of 2023, showing positive progress in total nonfarm jobs, building permits, sales tax revenue, and more.

• Growth drivers: The primary growth factor in all four areas reported was broad job gains, which is reflected in the respective grades. Furthermore, gross sales and use tax collections saw substantial growth, supporting the financial health of the regions. 

• Inflation: Inflationary expectations have been cooling, which bodes well for the overall economy.
