2024 Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

The Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame will induct 10 members into their 2024 class, set to be honored on April 19 at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock. 

  • Athletic achievements and accolades: Inductees include Carla Crowder, Glen Day, Jeff Glasbrenner, Peyton Hillis, Jason Peters, Al Flanigan, Butch Gardner, Ed Harris, Eric Jackson, and Ryan Mallett. 

  • Ringing in the honorees: The 66th Annual Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held on April 19 with a cocktail reception at 5:30 PM, doors opening at 6:00 PM, and program beginning at 6:30 PM.

WCF Awarded Grants Totaling More Than $12 Million to Build New Domestic Violence Shelter and Family Peace Center

Women & Children First has been awarded $12m, distributed by the Arkansas Development Finance Authority, to construct a new domestic violence shelter and the New Forest of Hope Family Peace Center in Little Rock. 

  • A peaceful haven: The new shelter will offer 132 beds, a kennel for pets, and an expansive playground for children. 

  • One-stop-shop: The New Forest of Hope Family Peace Center will bring together more than a dozen agencies to provide resources for victims of domestic violence and other activities.
