City Silo Table + Pantry to Open Third Location in Little Rock This Month

City Silo Table + Pantry is coming to Little Rock, thanks to long-time North Little Rock restaurateur Matt Runnells. The restaurant-bar-grocery store hybrid will offer all tastes, diets and bodies- friendly dishes, plus a fully stocked bar and an outdoor patio.

• Got it all: From their signature smoothie bowls to Prosecco cocktails and full bar, City Silo has something for everyone.

• Location: The facility at 17701 Chenal Parkway was designed by Remick Moore Architecture and will open its doors soon!

Renewal Ranch Receives Record-Breaking Funding to Help Combat Opioid Addiction

Renewal Ranch, a faith-based addiction recovery program located near Conway, is set to begin construction on a 6,769 square foot facility in 2021 with the help of a historic $2.1 million grant from the Arkansas Opioid Recovery Partnership.

• A major milestone: The award marks the largest single funding amount in the organization's history and is set to fund both the building and life-changing recovery services for men with Opioid Use Disorder and Substance Abuse Disorder.

• Humbled and grateful: Renewal Ranch extends its gratitude to ARORP and other local parties for the incredible opportunity to increase their impact on those struggling with addiction.

Little Rock Recruiting Citizen Scientists to Collect Heat Data This Summer

Little Rock is on the lookout for citizen scientists to collect heat data this summer as part of its heat mapping campaign, part of a national network to identify urban heat islands and take action.

• Virtual volunteers: Volunteers will use heat sensors on their cars across three shifts to map the hot spots in the city.

• Heat's up: Little Rock is taking steps to mitigate public health issues that come with extreme heat through adaptation and mitigation efforts.
