Arkansas Revenues Up 2.1% for July-August 2023 Fiscal Year
Revenue reports released by the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration reveal that in the first two months (July-August 2023) of the fiscal year, the state was $33.2 million above its forecast.
Surge in spending: The state saw a 2.1% increase in tax revenue when compared with the same period last year. Sales tax, individual, and corporate income tax revenues were all above the forecast.
Long-term trend: Arkansas topped the $1 billion surplus for the third consecutive year, thanks to a more than 8% growth in sales tax collections.

UAMS Milk Bank is now open in Little Rock, Arkansas, to help ensure a steady supply of donor milk for vulnerable infants across the state.
From far and wide: Not only can women from across the state donate their milk in person, but they also have the option to mail their milk in for screening and pasteurization.
Feeding the cause: The facility is just part of the effort to lower Arkansas's high infant mortality rate and reduce the risks of conditions such as sudden unexpected infant death (SUID).
