Carolina Sunshine: A Bluegrass Benefit for Western NC Flood Relief Efforts

Pettaway Square

We’re excited to partner with Moody Brews and Paper Hearts Bookstore in Pettaway Square to host a bluegrass concert supporting flood relief efforts in Western North Carolina!

  • 🪕 Bluegrass for Good: Mark Currey and Country Breakfast will set up outside Blue Water Barber + Supply, filling Pettaway Square with bluegrass tunes. Bring your lawn chair and blanket, and enjoy the music!

  • 🎟️ Ticket Info: To attend, show your donation receipt to the staff at Paper Hearts Bookstore or Moody Brews. Donations can be made via Venmo or PayPal to Beloved Asheville, and paper tickets will be issued upon verification.

  • 💌 Giving Back: Smashed and Stacked will donate $1 from every burger sold, and Moody Brews will contribute $1 for each drink sold. Little Rock Daily will also add $10 to the first 15 tickets sold to boost flood relief efforts.

Only 75 tickets are available! The first 40 ticket holders will secure spots on Moody Brews’ patio. Be sure to Upon entry, be sure to bring your ticket and ID for a wristband.

Call for Artists: Create a Postcard Mural in SoMa

SoMa 501

SoMa 501 and the Division of Arkansas Heritage's Public Art Grant Program are seeking artists for an interactive "Postcard" style mural.

  • 🎨 Capturing SoMa: The mural site is located at 1210 Main St., a prime location for visitors to capture photos in SoMa.

  • ⏱️ The Timeline: Proposals are due by October 7, 2024, and SoMa 501 will announce the selected artist on October 9. The project is scheduled to run from January to February 2025.
