Coming Together

Supporting our friends at the St. Joseph Center

Special note: We usually stick to good news around here. But the St. Joseph Center is good news. It has been a force for good in our community for generations, and even in this difficult moment, we want to share who they are—and how you can help.

This week, a fire tore through the historic St. Joseph Center in North Little Rock, leaving significant damage to the beloved 115-year-old landmark. We are all devastated.

  • ⛪️ Historic Roots: In 1910, the center was an orphanage run by the Benedictine sisters. Now, it is a lively place for urban farming, local art, and community events.

  • 💔 Heartbreaking Loss: The fire ruined the chapel damaging its interior and the well-known red tile roof. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but four people had to leave their homes, and 30 artists lost their studio space.

We are saddened but filled with HOPE. Join Little Rock Daily in supporting recovery efforts and those affected by donating here: Help St. Joseph “Farmily”. You can also follow their journey and stay up to date by following them on Facebook and Instagram.
