A Little Rock Neighborhood is Giving Back

SoMa

The SoMa neighborhood business has a new initiative from SoMa 501, called “SoMa Cares” Local businesses on Main Street have come together to allow shoppers to shop with a purpose. 

  • Change for Charity: The businesses involved have set up their payment systems to allow shoppers to round up their purchases with the spare change donated to local nonprofits.

  • Nonprofit Spotlight: Each month showcases a local nonprofit. SoMa Cares kicked off in January with the Wolfe Street Foundation receiving donations and is currently highlighting Mosaic Templars Cultural Center.

Plaza Frida

In the heart of Southwest Little Rock, you will find a beautiful space and safe haven for the local community, Plaza Frida.

  • A Gathering Place: When you arrive at Plaza Frida you see colorful structures and art. The beautiful and well crafted atmosphere is home to small shops, soccer fields, and an event center. To many, it is a second home.

  • Experience the vibrance of Hispanic culture: Plaza Frida has ample space for the purpose of gathering. From their Fiesta de Independencia Hispana to “Not” Cinco de Mayo, Little Rock’s Latino community is showcased and celebrated. Find out about all of their events here.

Central Arkansas Women have a chance to “Level Up”

Level Up Conference

Coming up March 8 and 9th, women are invited to gather for inspiration, education, and the opportunity to build connections with other women in Central Arkansas at the Level Up Conference.
