Nine UAMS physicians have been honored as Healthcare Research All-Stars for 2024 by Avant-garde Health, recognizing their excellence in medical research.
🧑⚕️ The UAMS Orthopedic Surgery department was praised for its focus on patients and research on orthopedic needs. The Surgery division, particularly the Transplantation sector, was recognized for its important contributions to trauma, global surgery, pancreas and hepatobiliary surgery, and liver transplantation advancements.
🏥 This recognition highlights UAMS's dedication to research and its role in advancing medical innovations and improving patient care, reinforcing its status as Arkansas's leading health sciences institution.

🐮 Spring Collaboration: As spring approaches, The Purple Cow and Arkansas Foodbank are partnering to address hunger relief initiatives. This effort was spurred by the dedication of long-time investor Philip Tappan to the Foodbank's mission.
🍨 Good food for good cause: The partnership aims to increase awareness and donations for hunger relief initiatives through restaurant donations, QR codes, and a "Giveback Night" event.
Make sure to make a plan to visit your local Purple Cow to support collective efforts to raise awareness and donations this season.
