The Norwegian Salmon with veggies and rice
The Terrace has been around for over 40 years, and you may not have even known it! It’s a place where the wait staff will speak fondly of their “regulars.” We started with the kitchen sampler to try the hummus, tabouleh, and Baba ghanoush. The daily special chicken pecan and the Norwegian salmon were fulfilling and made from quality ingredients.
Sausage-stuffed chicken breast, root vegetables, and a side salad with house herb vinaigrette dressing, with a slice of coconut cake.
Finding Milford Track is an adventure in and of itself. You’ll be met here with hearty, well-rounded daily specials kept well up to date on their website. The Sausage stuffed chicken breast, root vegetables, and side salad with house herb vinaigrette dressing left me feeling not at all guilty for ordering the coconut cake to round out the meal. Ordering is done at the counter, but the staff was really great about delivering and checking in on my table.
Chicken tenders with okra & macaroni and cheese
It’s the little things that will WOW you at Rosie’s; for me, it’s the potatoes at breakfast, and on this visit, it was the sweet potato casserole. There’s also something very nostalgic and endearing about a handwritten lunch ticket. The staff here stays busy during the lunch rush but are efficient and take the time to make sure you feel welcome.
Catfish plate with okra and slaw
KHall may come across as an intimidating spot on the surface with the risk of being called out on their active social media page. Just follow the posted signs, and don’t make the mistake of your predecessors by doing something like ordering “all flats” on your chicken wings. 🤣 Once inside, you will find a thriving community lunch scene, everyone (customers and employees alike) willing to look to point you in the right direction. Menu items are posted on screens above the deli section, with individual cake slices strategically placed right at eye level. Hint: try the Carmel cake, and you will have zero regrets.
Classic Turkey Sandwich with House Slaw
This charming diner is adorned with vintage memorabilia and features a bright, open space in the Heights. A classic turkey sandwich paired with the house slaw is a must-try. Be sure to order the catfish with sides, and don't miss out on the delicious fried pies! It’s no wonder this is worthy of Arkansas Food Hall of Fame.
