Nonprofit Spotlight

Inspiring Children to Love Reading

As the back-to-school season is in full swing, we are excited to highlight The Arkansas Imagination Library (ARIL). ARIL is making a significant impact on childhood literacy in the state of Arkansas.

  • 💟 Dolly’s Vision: In 1995, Dolly Parton created The Imagination Library to promote early childhood literacy. Today, the program delivers free books to over 3.2 million kids monthly until they turn 5.

  • 📚️ Statewide Growth: Arkansas got involved in 2002. In July 2017, Governor Hutchinson initiated a statewide nonprofit, Arkansas Imagination Library (ARIL), with the aim of expanding the program, which now covers all 75 counties and serves over 83,000 children.

Visit ARIL's website to learn more about how the Arkansas Imagination Library shapes young readers’ futures and how you can get involved.
