Elopak Praises Arkansas for Bringing Industry and Sustainability to Little Rock

At a press conference Tuesday morning, Norwegian company Elopak announced it will build a production plant at the Port of Little Rock, marking its first production plant in the U.S. 

  • Jobs and sustainability: Initially hiring 80 people and expecting to employ 100, the facility is estimated to be nearly 300,000 square feet and carry with it about $70 million of investment. Plus, Elopak is planning for all of its factories to be carbon neutral by 2030. 

  • The power of collaboration: Governor Sarah Sanders and other state and local leaders praised the collaboration between entities in bringing Elopak to Arkansas and making it a reality.

Pulaski County Goes Solar with New 4.7 Megawatt Solar Farm

Pulaski County is flipping the switch on clean energy with a new 4.7 megawatt solar farm at the Port of Little Rock. 

  • Cost-effective: This project comes at no cost to taxpayers and is expected to save the county $250,000 a year in electricity costs. 

  • Long road: It's taken eight and a half years to bring this project to fruition, so finally flipping that switch is a huge accomplishment.
