It's summertime, the perfect season to grill out with fresh veggies from a local farmers market. Shopping at a farmers market is one of the best ways to support local businesses. Little Rock Farmer’s Market
The Little Rock Farmers Market is celebrating its 50th season. The market is open every Saturday from May 4 to August 31, running from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. You can purchase fresh produce and local goods in the River Market's open-air pavilions while taking in stunning views of Riverfront Park and the Arkansas River.
Dunbar Garden
Visit Dunbar Garden on Wednesdays from 9 am to 3 pm for its "Pay What You Can" Garden Market, which is open throughout the summer and fall. The proceeds support its mission to provide educational resources and interactive opportunities for youth, families, and the community through sustainable urban agriculture.
Hillcrest Farmers Market
The Hillcrest Farmers Market takes place year-round in the heart of the Hillcrest Historic Neighborhood. Vendors are available on Saturday mornings from 7 AM to 11 AM from May to September and from 8 AM to 11 AM from October to April.
Urbana Farmstead
The Urbana Farmstead Market is open on Fridays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon. The produce is handpicked daily from the farm to ensure top-notch quality and flavor. You can purchase local honey, jams, preserves, free-range eggs, freshly baked bread, and pastries. In addition to the weekly markets, Chef Margie Raimondo also hosts cooking classes.
St. Joseph Farmstand
St. Joseph's Farm Stand is open year-round, from Wednesday to Sunday, and offers fresh produce. Starting in March, the Saturday Porch Market is available, offering a vibrant selection of goods. Customers can also place orders online for convenient pick-up during business hours. St. Joseph's also offers Egg Subscriptions for farm-fresh eggs and hosts unique events such as goat yoga.
Mother Vine Market
Mother Vine Market offers a delightful variety of goods, including fresh produce, baked treats, unique gifts, and more from all Arkansas Growers and Makers. The market is located on the outskirts of West Little Rock and welcomes visitors Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Bernice Garden
The Bernice Garden Farmers' Market is a welcoming community space where local growers offer fruits, vegetables, nuts, berries, flowers, herbs, prepared food, and other goods. It serves downtown Little Rock residents, businesses, organizations, and visitors. The market is open on Sundays from mid-April through November.
Ferndale Farmer’s Market
The Ferndale Farmers Market is a weekly event that brings together farmers and artisans. It is open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. from May to October, regardless of the weather. The market showcases a variety of vendors, both indoors and outdoors, who sell fresh vegetables and handmade goods. There is also a knife sharpener available for a unique additional service.
