Park Plaza Mall to Host Touch-a-Truck Event for Community

Park Plaza Mall will host a family-friendly Touch-a-Truck event tomorrow, inviting families to get up close and personal with all sorts of vehicles they may not have seen before.

• Ride along: The event features vehicles from the Little Rock Police Department, Little Rock Fire Department, and more, offering a unique hands-on experience for folks of all ages.

• Rain or shine: The event is free to the public and will occur rain or shine, so come prepared for either!

Methodist Foundation Grant to Support UAMS 12th Street Health & Wellness Center

The 12th Street Health & Wellness Center, a free clinic in the Little Rock's 12th Street corridor, recently received a $195,655 grant from the Methodist Foundation for Arkansas.

• Community investment: The grant will support purchasing essential imaging equipment for the clinic, an important component of the center’s services. In the 10 years since its establishment, the center has provided free medical care to over 7,000 individuals.

• Student-led: UAMS students from five colleges and graduate school staff the center, logging over 59,000 volunteer hours in 2022 alone.

Introducing Neverwhere: Little Rock's New Coffee and Comic Shop

Neverwhere is a Little Rock coffee & comic shop where conversations, explorations, and the latest comics can all occur around a cup of coffee.

• Liquid & literary gold: Enjoy a cup of coffee from Arkansas-based roaster ONYX, plus tea, pastries, and the occasional comic book surprise.

• Souvenir shop: They will also have home and gifts retail section with cool oddities, local and national brands, and vintage favorites.

North Little Rock Tourism is holding a special event this evening from 5-8p - Christmas in July!

• Chilly: Keep cool with a selection of holiday-themed activities, some of which will involve water, so dress appropriately.

• Say Cheese: Mr. Claus himself will be on hand taking photos and making sure kids are on the "nice" list.
