Great news for the City of Little Rock!
The City of Little Rock has been awarded a $125,000 grant presented by the Foundation for a Healthy America and the African American Mayors Association.
👩🌾 This funding will support the Community Schools Initiative by backing school garden projects, which aligns with its mission to provide young people with access to fresh and healthy food.
🥕 The City of Little Rock is committed to promoting the well-being of our youth beyond the classroom with the help of the funds.
See Mayor Frank Scott’s post to learn more.
Well, hot dog!
North Little Rock is making strides to support its furry residents with a 900-square-foot expansion of the city's animal shelter that will improve services and create new opportunities for families.
🐶 The shelter's expansion brings a new community-focused touch with separate entrances for adoptions and animal services, a welcoming cat adoption area, and even a fun party room available for rent for birthdays and events.
🐾 An upgraded office space has streamlined operations and improved the staff's working experience, leading to more cats and dogs finding their furever homes!
