PCSSD Schools Make a Strong Showing in U.S. News & World Report Rankings

U.S. News & World Report's April 2024 Best Elementary, Middle, and High School rankings include five schools within the Pulaski County Special School District in the top 150 nationwide! 

• Total excellence: Schools are ranked based on student performance in math and reading/language arts, taking student backgrounds and achievement in core subjects into account. 

• Accessible Data: U.S. News also provides data on student-teacher ratios, district spending, and the number of counselors a school makes available to its students.

Arkansas Razorbacks Unveil 2024 Football Schedule, Open at War Memorial Stadium

The 2024 Arkansas Razorbacks' schedule is out, and it's shaking things up a bit this year.

• On the road: They'll be hitting the road with a Little Rock opener against UAPB, plus trips to Oklahoma State, Auburn, and Texas A&M for a neutral site game in Arlington. 

• Home front: The later part of the season brings the Hogs back to Fayetteville, with 5 of the final 7 games in Razorback Stadium, including three in November.

UA Little Rock, Venture Center, Little Rock Regional Chamber Launch Arkansas Tech Launch Exchange Program to Accelerate Tech Businesses

Arkansas Tech Launch Exchange Program (AR Tech Launch) was announced jointly by UA Little Rock, the Venture Center and the Little Rock Regional Chamber on Dec. 6th. 

• Taking off in 2021: With the help of cap-exempt H1-B visas, this initiative will help recruit international entrepreneurs to the region and provide them with support services to help their businesses succeed. 

• Going the extra mile: Selected entrepreneurs will also work with UA Little Rock to educate and train the next generation of start-up founders.

Arkansas to Host Lithium Innovation Summit in 2024

Arkansas is set to host the Lithium Innovation Summit in February, where industry leaders, policymakers and key stakeholders will come together to explore opportunities to make Arkansas a major supplier of lithium in the global market. 

• Big names: This Summit will be kicked off by Gov. Sarah Sanders and Arkansas Secretary of Commerce Hugh McDonald along with other industry professionals. 

• Growth potential: This summit will provide networking opportunities, introduce the lithium resource in southern Arkansas, and explore how the Arkansa lithium can become an integral part of the international market.
