Arkansas Razorbacks Set to Take on Samford and Lipscomb in North Little Rock at Simmons Bank Arena
Razorback lovers, you're in luck! Simmons Bank Arena in North Little Rock will host both the men's and women's basketball teams on Saturday, Dec 16.
Cheerleaders: The women's game begins at 12:30 p.m. against the Samford Bulldogs, and the men's game at 5 p.m. against the Lipscomb Bisons.
Value passes: The adult ticket for the women's game is an affordable $10 and $5 for children 17 and younger; the men's game tickets range from $30-$40, and went on sale on Nov 6.

Ballet Arkansas Celebrates 45 Years with Nutcracker Spectacular
Experience Ballet Arkansas's 45th Anniversary Nutcracker Spectacular with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra at Robinson Center, Dec. 8-10th.
Tis the Season: The Nutcracker Spectacular is the largest holiday production in Arkansas and 3rd largest tourism event in the Rock. Set to Tchaikovsky's paramount score, the production will feature live music by the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra and a cast and crew of nearly 400.
Nut Cracking Boutique: This year’s performances will feature partial updates to choreography, sets, and costumes as well as the Ballet’s official Nutcracker Boutique found in the lower lobby with each performance. There will be four performances over a three day span of Dec. 8-10th.

The Annual Christmas Lighting Ceremony at the Arkansas State Capitol is a cherished tradition with 85 years of history and this year it's set for Dec 2 at 5:30p.
Something for everyone: After the lighting ceremony, visitors can explore Christmas decorations, meet Santa, and enjoy a fireworks show, plus extended holiday hours at the Capitol will be in effect all season.
A legacy of generations: In the late 1930s, Secretary Crip Hall and an electrician lit up the Capitol and this event is now uniting Arkansans in the spirit of the holidays.

UAMS and CHCA Awarded $17.5 Million to Reduce Prenatal Inequities
UAMS and CHCA have just been awarded a $17.5 million grant by the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute to study and reduce prenatal inequality in Arkansas.
Delivering HOPE: The study, called "Delivering HOPE" (Helping Women Optimize Prenatal Equity), will compare the effectiveness of two intervention methods, Delivering HOPE and Enhanced Standard of Care, on maternal health outcomes.
Plan of action: UAMS and CHCA will deliver healthy groceries to participants' homes, conduct nutritional counseling, help them enroll in WIC and SNAP and provide referrals to local food resources.
