Building Future Welders

On Thursday, Lexicon, Inc. hosted Steel Day at its headquarters in Little Rock, giving students hands-on experiences with welding careers.

• 🛠️ A Focus on Workforce: Prominent leaders, including Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin and Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott, emphasized the importance of workforce development in the steel and welding industries.

• 🥽 Shaping Future Welders: The event featured the AWS Careers in Welding Mobile Exhibit, which showcased virtual welding simulators and emphasized welding's role in daily life. AWS sponsored a $1,000 welding scholarship competition, and students had the opportunity to tour Lexicon's facility and explore career opportunities in welding.
